What You Will Do Every Day: Your Key Responsibilities
As a Photovoltaic Project Manager, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of projects, from conception to grid connection. Your main activities will include:
- Comprehensive Project Management: Oversee every phase of the PV project, from initiation to closure, ensuring an efficient workflow.
- Detailed Planning: Draw up precise project plans, including timelines, budgets and allocation of necessary resources.
- Operational Coordination: Coordinate the design, procurement, installation, and testing activities of facilities.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with local and national regulations as well as the most stringent safety standards, especially for work at height and solar panel installations.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with clients, government agencies, suppliers, and project partners.
- Monitoring and Control: Constantly monitor the cost, time, and quality of all project activities.
- Reporting and Criticality: Draft periodic progress reports and proactively manage any problems or critical issues.
- Inspections and Meetings: Conduct technical inspections and progress meetings to ensure continuous progress.
- Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams consisting of engineers, installers, electricians, and other industry specialists.
- Authorization Practices: Manage all paperwork and authorization required for the installation and connection of photovoltaic systems.
- Process Optimization: Implement and refine processes to improve the efficiency and profitability of future projects.
The Skills and Experience We Seek
To fill this strategic role, we seek a professional with a solid background and the following qualifications:
- Training and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Management) or related disciplines.
- Certifications in Project Management (such as PMP or PRINCE2) will be considered a preferred qualification.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of prior experience in project management of photovoltaic systems or in the broader renewable energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of PV technologies, including inverters, storage systems, and related energy regulations.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings (electrical and structural).
- Practical experience in the use of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Familiarity with major technical drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst).
- Transversal Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving aptitude and ability to make quick and effective decisions.
- Strong results orientation and meticulous attention to quality.
